The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Table
From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of heroes who will split off from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear out of place, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the group understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, striking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
The traitor then settled his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the group access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.
This results in them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
According to episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Seekers and Strategists parties.
Audiences can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
